From Photos to Food

Street food inspiration

Leo Ferenc, the owner of Leonati, has had a career that spans across multiple industries. Leo first discovered his love for food during his time working as a photographer on cruise ships, where he had the opportunity to travel to over 140 countries and try all types of cuisine. It was the Neapolitan pizza that ultimately captured Leo's heart, leading to his passion for food.

Upon his return to the UK in 2001, Leo continued working as a freelance photographer and cameraman, with notable work on the channel 4 TV show Live from Abbey Road, filming and interviewing artists such as Paul Simon, Massive Attack, Jamiroquai, and Iron Maiden.

In 2007, Leo founded Coco Photo Booths, providing photo activations for events using a fleet of old taxis and classic minis. The business quickly grew, and Leo expanded his offerings with the introduction of Pizza Leonati in 2019. Using a vintage van, Leo created a unique food truck that stood out from the crowd, featuring ovens, a copper front, and a fold-out food prep area.

During the lockdown, Leo utilized his unused taxi photo booths and transformed them into the world's first London Pizza Cab and Coffee Leonati, which quickly gained popularity at weddings, parties, and corporate events. In 2022, the Leonati family expanded once again with the addition of VW Horse Box, providing smashed burgers made with grass-fed aged beef, and Nati joined the team to offer canapes, charcuterie boards, and dessert tables for weddings and parties.

Leo's creativity and passion for food are evident in his unique and eye-catching food trucks, each with their own story and personality. Leonati's emphasis on using locally sourced produce ensures that guests can enjoy the finest of Sussex-grown ingredients, cooked fresh on site in Leo's one-of-a-kind food trucks. With a diverse range of offerings, including Neapolitan pizza, coffee, smashed burgers, and canapes, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

We work with cows raised exclusively on pasture and a grass-fed diet, while prioritising their welfare to ensure they lead stress-free and happy lives. We believe that this not only improves the quality of our beef but also aligns with our ethical values.

At Leonati Catering, we recognize the potential environmental harm caused by fast food and are taking action to address it. To reduce our carbon footprint, we source ingredients locally, and our packaging is entirely compostable. With "There's No Planet B" in mind, we're committed to operating in a responsible and sustainable manner.
